My sculpture published in the Collect Art edition!!

I was very happy today to receive this edition of Collect Art and to see my sculpture on the front page!!!

6 pages are dedicated to my art in the special Edition Vol 36 "Sculpture and 3D art"

followed by an interview!!!

 1. Your academic background includes degrees in Modern Greek and Byzantine Studies as well as a PhD in Theoretical Linguistics. How have these academic pursuits influenced your approach to painting and sculpture?

I received very good classical education, which gives every person a broader vision, enriches the worldview, helps to get out of our small world into a big new world. This more open mentality gives me possibility to see the things in its wholeness and, thus, to better express my ideas through my art. Scientific research, communication in an international environment - this is an invaluable experience that I transfer to my creations - I become a researcher of life and people. Knowing languages helps me communicate with people from different countries.

2. Alongside your linguistic studies, you've also delved into fashion and theatrical costume design. How does this background in fashion influence your artistic creations?

Fashion for me is contemporary art in motion, a painting or sculpture applied on human body. Fashion is progressive; it feels new trends and ideas of the society and reflects them in new garments or accessories, but also promotes totally new ideas, just like contemporary art does in artworks. Of course, for me the most interesting part is promoting new vision through art or fashion. Fashion provides another hypostasis, an additional facet or parallel which enriches my art vision. It is also possible that in future I may create some kind of sculptural conceptual dress.

3. Could you share your experience studying ceramics in workshops both in Paris and Cyprus? How has working with ceramics enriched your artistic practice?

My ceramic experience made me love sculpture and understand that size matters! I have loved ceramics since the age of 3 when I was not accepted into kindergarten due to a weak stomach and my mother took me to a modeling class. I was happy to return to ceramics in Paris in Valeria Polsinelli’s studio, but ceramics has always limited me in size and color. In Cyprus working in Vassos Demetriu studio I moved on to larger minimalist clay sculptures. While in 2023 I felt thrilled to be one of the artists invited to the prestigious 26th International Symposium of Stone Sculpture in Vergnacco, Italy and felt excited to create my first large public art there! Definitely I desire to create more public large-scale art now.

4.  You obtained a diploma as a spiritual coach and also studied art communication. How do these qualifications contribute to your role as an artist, and do they shape the concepts and ideas you express in your work?

The spiritual knowledge about man as the Creator is precisely the essence of my concept. My mission is to convey to people the truth about us, that we are all one, we are all part of the same energy, the same spirit and our true nature is love. When you realize that the other person is also you, you cannot harm, you cannot criticize, you can only accept everyone and everything. The knowledge of art communications helps me navigate the world of contemporary art, know its features and promote my art more effectively.

5. Combining knowledge from fields like sociology, language research, spirituality, and conscious living, you bring a diverse perspective to your art. How does this multi-disciplinary approach manifest in your creative process and the themes you explore?

My multidisciplinary experience undoubtedly gives me the opportunity to see, notice and systematize global ideas and trends that are currently happening in our world, society, and in the development of humanity. I see them from different sides, I analyze them horizontally and vertically, draw conclusions, sum up and express in my artworks. But I believe that the most important is always to apply this background to our heart desire and to express exactly what wants to be expressed by the Universe, by God through us right in this moment.

6. Could you discuss your experience attending art classes at the Academy of Art in Palermo and the workshops of artist Christos Avraam in Cyprus? How did these experiences shape your artistic style?

Classes at the Academy in Palermo granted me the opportunity to look at art from the academic side. I studied classical drawing, painting, decorative arts, but also modern methods and materials. Workshops with Christos Avraam gave me an impetus for a new expression of myself through painting, a more complex composition, allowed me to break some restrictions in my head and reach a new level of freedom in art. This was also a contact with the new conceptual Athens academic school through Christos as its graduate and follower.

7.  Recently, you received a diploma from the Online Art Communication School by Julia Sysalova. How has this specific diploma enhanced your ability to communicate your artistic concepts to a broader audience?

Julia Sysalova is a talented art curator and very deep personality and she does magical transformation to the artists in her school. You start to understand who you are as an artist, which should be your best way and best place in the modern art world and how to make your career step by step as professional artist. Julia has become an art curator of my new project of large-scale public art - a big head of the Creator, into which I invite the viewer to step inside the head and look at the world through the eyes of the Creator, thus remembering her/his true nature. With Julia’s support I have improved and finalized this project and I have an intention to materialize it very soon.

8. Your artwork is now present in private collections around the world. How does the diversity of locations, from the USA to Hong Kong, influence the reception and interpretation of your art?

Today our world and society strive more than ever for unity. The fact that collectors from the opposite sides of Earth acquire my art despite different passport, nationality, believes etc. tells me that there is always a person inside, that matters, there is a vivid heart and we have no difference deep inside, we are all one. This once again proves the fact that art is a unique language understandable to all the people on the planet and art today plays an important role in uniting people. And, of course, I feel honored that my art becomes part of the process of bringing people together.

9.  Your latest works represent different interpretations of the Creator head. Which is the most important idea that you would like to convey to your audience through this concept and why?

The most important idea that I want to convey to my audience is that inside we have always our inexhaustible source of love and that love is the meaning and the essence of our existence. When we know that we are the Creator, we change our self-identification and become love ourselves, start to pass a flow of love through our body, share love with others, enjoy, rejoice and create everything in our life from love. If every person realizes this, then the world will change from inside, it will be harmonious, abundant, honest, healthy, happy, conscious. We are now all moving towards this together and I am happy that through my art I can contribute to the process of improving the world and the life of every person.

10.  Lastly, how do you see your various experiences converging in your current artistic practice, and what themes or concepts do you find yourself consistently drawn to in your work?

Until a certain point, I was looking for answers to questions «Who are we?”, “How to become happy?”, “Why dreams so rarely come true?” etc. This part of my life is reflected in my SEARCH collection. But the TRUTH collection already reflects what I have found - the truth about who we all are - one Creator, manifested on Earth in many bodies. Now my desire is to convey this truth to as many people as possible, because my life has become better and I want other people’s lives to become better - happier, more harmonious, more abundant. I want to tell people that they could be conscious Creator of their life and can create it from Love.
